Previously we had posted about the Firefox 3.7 mockups for Windows Vista and Windows 7. Now it seems like they are working on Firefox 4.0 for Linux.

Linux Theme Mockup for Firefox 4.0 was posted on Mozilla Wiki. Firefox 4.0 for linux is not due for another one year, but they have started working on it pretty early. They have a lot of ideas for the upcoming browser, One idea is to move the browser tabs above the location bar. Another is to consolidate the menus into a few tabs that will hang out next to the location bar. Both movies will free up space, allowing more of the browser to be dedicated to displaying web pages.
Another major addition will be Browser Sync via Mozilla Weave, allowing for cloud syncing of bookmarks, passwords and favourites.

That looks really cool. I got all excited but I guess I can wait a year…plus who knows what Google might come out with by then. Currently running Linux Mint which is amazing and Friefox on linux works really well…but you can’t go worng with more themes and new looks!
