As we all know yesterday Blackra1n RC3 was released by GeoHot, which is used for jailbreaking iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS runinng firmware 3.1.2. Blackra1n RC3 was includes Blacksn0w which is used to unlock iPhone on baseband 05.11.07.
Just remember that we cannot use Blacksn0w here to Unlock iPhone 2G, because its only for 3G/3GS. Here we will Jailbreak your iPhone 2G 3.1.2 using Blackra1n and then unlock it using BootNeuter from Cydia. You will need Wifi to download this.
Follow the Following Steps to Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 2G 3.1.2 with Blackra1n RC3:
- Download Blackra1n RC3, and Launch it. If you are Windows Vista or Windows 7 user you can launch Blackra1n in Windows XP compatibility mode. Right-click the blackra1n icon and then click on properties. Click the Compatibility tab. Under compatibility mode click the box to enable it and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Click OK, and then run blackra1n.
- Now Click on Make it ra1n button. Once you do this your iPhone will be in recovery mode. Here you will see a picture of GeoHot.
- Your iPhone will now reboot and now you should see a blackra1n icon.
- Now Install Cydia from the packages shown, If you want to install rock its recommended that you reboot after install Cydia and then install Rock.
- Open Cydia and run updates essential. Search for “BootNeuter” and install it. Once BootNeuter Starts configure it as shown below.
- Now touch on “Flash” button above. Remember not to interrupt the flashing process, it will take some time. Once it is done your iPhone 2G will be unlocked.
