I already knew how much a PB is, but it always amazes me to think about how much it *actually* is…. holy crap, it’s alot!

I wouldn’t mind having just a 1 PB drive in my MacBook Pro, no more need for external drives, hehe.

That type of memory and capacity is just humbling. So much storage and information.

A few years ago (20) no one could ever imagine there was need for a gigabyte. Especially not in a regular home computer. Today we can buy 1 TB of storage for about 120 dollar. Petabyte will most probably become common in a few years since the size of the videos are continue to rising.

Wow!!

Its seems one day our entire life would get stored in a tiny chip, just type the date and time and i you can watch what a person was doing at that particular moment in Full HD lol.

And yeah I would also like to know what 1024 PETABYTES make up, OMG I’m suddenly getting overwhelmed with ideas.

thx for this eye opener.

Petabyte is very large. It needs a much powerful processor to go with it. :-)

The fun part is although we talk now about a petabyte like a huge huge capacity (and indeed it is), I think after a few years we’ll be talking about the petabyte like we talk about the gigabyte…not such a big deal.
